The 3D seismic data are modern long-offset PSTM and PSDM volumes which are processed to modern drill ready standard. The blocks are all available now to interested parties via direct-award following negotiation with Petrosen.

Elwyn Jones, Director of GeoPartners, announced,  "We have a long-standing partnership with Petrosen and are are extremely pleased to have been entrusted to market and promote the 11,000 sq.km of high-quality 3D seismic data to interested oil companies. We are excited to bring this data to our clients as it covers open blocks which have proven prospectivity. We are further encouraged by Petrosen’s announcement that their fiscal terms are able to be negotiated as they motivated to welcome new partners to explore their offshore following the two world-class discoveries of Sangomar and Greater Tortue Ahmeyim coming on-stream next year”

The project will comprise the acquisition of a minimum 12,000 sq. km of 3D Multi-Client data over Blocks that will be awarded following the closure of the current 6th Licensing Round. Advanced new acquisition and imaging techniques will provide better illumination of complex structures to help reduce exploration risk and fast-track the region for potential production and development.  Pre-acquisition permitting has started and it is anticipated that the 3D acquisition will commence in early 2023, with an expected duration of 6 months to complete and with early processed results available by end 2023.

Jim Gulland, Director of GeoPartners, announced,  "We are honoured to have concluded this new Agreement with INP to acquire this very large 3D seismic survey in the relatively underexplored but highly prospective Angoche Basin. The upcoming new Multi-Client 3D seismic acquisition program will help accelerate the identification of what will surely be the next wave of major discoveries in Mozambique.”

The virtual roadshow will showcase opportunities of the 6th Round to investors and interested parties and provide a platform for industry engagement ahead of the Pre-Qualifying deadline of the 28th February 2022.

During the sessions INP experts will be available to provide overviews and respond to specific questions on acreage on offer, legal, regulatory, contractual and fiscal aspects, as well as available technical data and License Round Terms.

GeoPartners will be giving an overview of the legacy data we hold. The Virtual Roadshow will conclude with a panel of industry experts speaking on the investment opportunity in Mozambique.
